I am a Physician Assistant.
I received my medical education through the University of Iowa where, in 1993, I graduated with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies. I also hold a degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Over the past eleven years I have worked in medical weight management in both clinic and hospital settings. I have come to appreciate the effectiveness of ketogenic meal replacement meal plans when administered in a group setting where: support, learning, accountability, and camaraderie, can be found.
What has been missing in so many weight loss programs is ongoing group follow-up (a sense of membership). Mind body Palte LLC. provides this supported community during and after the weight loss.
Prior to working in weight management, I served rural communities, working in small clinics located in under-served regions as well as urban communities within large multi-specialty clinics. Those fourteen years, practicing family and internal medicine, has given me a grounded perspective of the many chronic diseases and challenges related to obesity. I’ve shared in the frustration all health-care providers experience every day, not having an effective tool to offer patients, to get weight off and keep it off.
